Lord Rowan Williams hosted his Holiness the Dalai Lama for a two-day Open Dialogue, bringing together scientists, writers, businesspeople, philosophers, young people and others. The dialogue, the foundation’s inaugural event, addressed the question: what does universal responsibility mean to us today. Of the 150 attending the symposium, nearly half were university students who joined leaders from business, civil society, government, academia, the world of art and education. The forum explored issues of contemporary concern in an atmosphere of friendship and openness.
It was a fantastic experience that I will most definitely never forget. I met some really interesting people who have great ideas and have achieved admiring things. People that I would not have normally had the opportunity to engage in conversation with, so again thank you so much for the opportunity.
